How can you Help?
Recognition Brick Campaign
The Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter announces the availability to order individual pavers/bricks to honor or memorialize someone or a pet. You can personalize the paver with your own wording and select from the clipart on the website or provide your own clipart to customize it.
The brick recognition area will be located on the right side of the front entrance of the new building, highly noticeable to ALL visitors.
Just click the link to customize your brick and place your order. Thank you.
Donate Funds
The shelter’s operation is largely supported by allocations from the jurisdictions we serve with much-needed supplementation by grants, fundraisers, and generous donations from caring citizens and organizations. If you would like to donate, no matter how small, it is appreciated. You can text NEGAS to 44321 to donate by text, or click on our Donate Button.
From food and bedding to medical care and immunizations, each penny counts towards our mission! Consider a monthly donation! Tax deductible receipts are available.
Buy a Discount Card
Purchase a discount card for just $10 and grab your discounts for a whole year. We have partnered with local businesses to provide discounts for you! Available for purchase at the shelter and at all Franklin and Hart County branches of Pinnacle Bank, First Citizens Bank, and Northeast Georgia Bank.
Volunteer
We would love to have you be involved with our dog and cat rescue work. There are so many ways for you to help, and we truly appreciate each and every effort towards our pet adoptions. By lending your support, you’ll become a valuable part of our Non-Profit Organization and help the animals in our communities.
Volunteer opportunities are available based on your skillset and desire. We appreciate any help, whether it be 1 hour a week or 5 days a week.
Come in to the shelter and fill out the paperwork! Must be 16 to volunteer, unless parent stays with you. Any questions, just give us a call!
Foster a Pet
Becoming a foster home for a pet can be rewarding for both the home and the animal. We partner with The Humane Society to foster our animals out. You can read more on their website: https://www.harthumane.org/adopt-foster
Foster homes provide socialization, basic training, food and medical care for the pet while waiting for a forever home. Pets are medically cleared and have received age appropriate vaccinations.
Fostering could be from a couple of days to several months until we find an adoptive home. We are flexible and will work with you on your individual needs.
